K&D Recruitment is working with an established engineering business in Aylesbury that is looking for a skilled Injection Moulding Toolmaker to join its experienced and close-knit team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a time-served Toolmaker who enjoys precision engineering, problem-solving and working across a variety of machining processes rather than being restricted to one machine or task.

Working hours:

• Monday–Thursday: 7:30am–4:30pm

• Friday: 7:30am–3:30pm

What will you be doing?

As an Injection Moulding Toolmaker, you'll work alongside a team of multi-skilled engineers, using a range of CNC and conventional machining equipment to manufacture high-quality precision tooling and components.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Operating CNC milling and turning machines, including 5-axis equipment where required.

• Carrying out manual milling, turning and grinding operations.

• Manufacturing, maintaining and producing precision tooling, including blow mould tooling.

• Working with EDM equipment, including spark and wire erosion where applicable.

• Reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings.

• Producing precision components to tight tolerances.

• Completing small-batch manufacturing runs.

• Taking ownership of projects from initial drawing through to finished component.

• Working collaboratively with engineers to maintain high standards of quality and accuracy.

What are we looking for?

We're keen to speak with experienced Toolmakers who have a strong background in precision engineering and enjoy practical, hands-on machining.

Ideally, you'll have:

• A completed, time-served Toolmaking apprenticeship or equivalent practical experience.

• Previous experience in injection mould tooling.

• Strong CNC milling and turning experience.

• Recent experience operating CNC machinery, ideally including 5-axis machines.

• Experience with manual machining, including milling, turning and grinding.

• The ability to read engineering drawings and work accurately to tight tolerances.

• A practical, methodical approach to engineering challenges.

• The ability to work independently and as part of a small, supportive team.

Additional experience that would be an advantage:

• Fanuc CNC controls.

• EDM, spark erosion or wire erosion.

• Blow mould tooling manufacture.
